Hear/See Culberson's Democratic Opponents Thursday

We have not one but two Democratic candidates who want to oppose John Culberson for his District 7 Congressional post ... and they'll appear on David Jones's "Politics-The Real Deal"  this Thursday, December 22, at 6:30 p.m. on Public Access Channel 17.

The candidates are David Murff and Jim Henley

NEW APPROACH TO DRUGS

How come we didn't learn anything from prohibition? Booze was illegal, so criminals did the trafficking. Then it was re-legalized, alcohol taxes became a major income source and the violence surrounding alcohol tafficking abated. Does that suggest anything about drugs? .

NOT A PARTY MATTER

I can't, for the life of me, explain why some things should be subject to partisan debate. For example:

* Everyone who can and wants and is willing to work for it should have a chance to go to college. That means that there should be decent head start to prepare kids for grammar school, decent grammar schools to prepare kids for middle school ... you get the idea.

NEED TO KNOW

You've had it happen. You feel bad. You go to the doctor, who says there's a virus going around. Maybe the city or county or state or federal health authority should issue a weekly advisory listing the current virus infections, their symptoms and their term.
